Overlooking the clear waters of the Pacific, the Centre Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) in Playa Flamingo offers high quality Spanish small group courses and private lessons in an idyllic setting. Students are offered a wide variety of activities outside of their classes and, once a month, the school holds a “cultural weekend”.
CPI has three schools in Costa Rica that follow the same teaching methods. You can take Spanish lessons in different towns but, as all of your classes are with CPI schools, you only have to pay the registration fee once. Why not start your Spanish course in Playa Flamingo and then continue in Heredia or Monteverde? This is just what Nadja Purtschert, a Swiss Olympic snowboarder, did during her trip to Costa Rica with Yalea. Find our more about Nadja's experience here.
In Playa Flamingo, everything is easily accessible on foot, and the school is only a few steps away from the beach. The modern school building is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and also has a basketball pitch and swimming pool.
The CPI team organizes a daily activity program including water sports, dancing and cooking lessons and visits to neighboring villages. Some of these activities are free and others are offered at a reduced price. The CPI staff can also assist you to plan your own activities and weekend excursions, if you wish.
All the CPI teachers have a university diploma and, on average, two years of experience teaching Spanish.
